“A Clean Planet for All”

The European long term decarbonisation strategy “A Clean Planet for All” refers to hydrogen as potential key in decarbonising sectors such as industry, cement, chemicals, steel and the heavy duty and long-distance transport. Green hydrogen is key to replacing fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to a CO2 neutral, independent and sustainable EU. The EU targets to produce 10 Mt green H2 ( ̃300 TWh/y) by 2030, with an expected demand of >2200 TWh/y by 2050, requiring large-scale production capacities & infrastructures. For long distance transportation of hydrogen, LOHCs are one of the best options. We will developp CMR-free catalysts and scale up the technology and conversion from laboratory to industrial-scale production overcoming technical challenges.
